transmission leak

wife and I took a little ride the other day, after we stopped I noticed a small bit of weeping below the transmission door. took into the dealer. They said its gasket inside the tranny. The cost would be around 1100.00 bucks, glad I had the extended warranty. Anyway there saying that Im not the only trike they have done. It probably wouldnt hurt to run your finger under the door on the transmission that says 6speed.

Yep..Once I tightened the screws for the trans on the right side no more leaks in that area..
Better tighten your oil pans bolts too..

$1,100 for a gasket and about 2 hours labor:AGGHH:. Drain the transmission, pull the exhaust and the transmission side cover, replace the gasket and put it back together. Normally that is the only gasket leaking. Now if its the gasket on the other side of the door, that is a bit more involved.

As trikermutha said, tightening the screws normally gets it to stop.

Glad he has the warranty..That does seem a bit steep..

this guys got a pretty good rep in the industry. He says he needs to pull the tranny, my bet is for this repair, he needs to pull the tranny. Im not going to argue with him or you. Just throwing something out there that might help somebody else.
