Finally bit the bullit this week. Traded the 09 Stallion for an 09 Goldwing with Champion IRS. Got the Deep Blue Metallic. Much better ride with IRS.
Wife is happy and so am I.
Previously, she did not want to ride very far from home due to the frequent breakdowns. That problem is now solved.

I have had virtually no problem for 30,000 miles with my 1997 Wing trike ... What breakdowns ?

John, I think Roadrunner is saying he is happy with the new Goldwing trike he now has. I don't think it has been breaking down.

John, I was referring to the Stallion and its many problems. I didn't want to post negatives about Stallion, but it is what it is. Expect GW trike to be reliable and troublefree. This is my 7th Goldwing in 12 years, so know them well. And 2nd Champion.

Good Luck Road Runner sometimes you just got to do what you got to do.

Whoa! Dude! You went through Goldwings in less than 2 years average each?! Must put on some serious miles, or traded up a bunch.;)

It is nice to have that reliability you can count on - I have had the Harley for 16 years. Been a good solid ride. We had The Blue Trike (VW based TrikeShop Runabout) for 10 years, and have had our current GW MotorTrike for 6 years so far, and can't see any reason that it won't be our second-to -last trike.
Gloria says when (if) there is a trike made with the amenities of the GW1500SE, and enough grunt to easily pull our Bunkhouse camper, and an automatic transmission, she is getting it. I think it will be a while - taking in to account both finances and technology.

Ozarkryder, I average about 35k miles a year. Never wore out a Wing. And sometimes trade up. Had a Vulcan 2000cc during that time, plus the Stallion that I rode 12k in 7 months(when not in Ford dealer for repairs). Plus keep a 2 wheeler for solo riding and trike when wife rides.
