I'm thinking about possibly getting one of those tire pressure systems for the trike. I've see a few that have a nice small screen mounted on the handle bars but they're all for 2 wheelers. (Only 2 sensors, one for each tire and the display screen is only set for 2 readings).

Do any of you know of a unit for trikes?

Here is one I've seen a couple times. It's not handle bar mounted the I bet you could if you wanted to.

Damn,,,. That's perfect. If I can find something like that which is made to be mounted on the handle bars, I'd go for it. It really doesn't make any sense having that display on a key fob in your pocket where you can't see if you're loosing air.
Thanks for the suggestion!

Just checked one of their distributor sites, the model for motorcycle MSRP is $150.00
but...IF I am reading their info right, the censors are additonal $50.00 ea

:AGGHH:

If that's true,,, that's nuts! I'll just check my tires before each ride.

You need to do other pre-ride checks, check the tires also.

Here's a site with a little better pricing on the Pressure Pro system: Cycle Protection Products, - Motorcycle Accessories

It's not a great bargain, but a few bucks on each item ($140 for the unit, $46 on each sensor, $29 for a handlebar mount bracket) plus free shipping - that adds up to about $307 for a complete trike system. Not a big price to have a critical function on our big-buck trikes monitored conitnuously and automatically with two levels of alert. Another benefit is that because it's a 6-channel system, you could add sensors to your pull-behind trailer and it will monitor them as well - and still have a channel left for something like your rear airbags (that in itself sounds great to me), or your trailer's spare tire.

It's actially got me thinking about grabbing a system for myself. (Hey, so maybe I go for the 36-channel system and monitor everything under the sun that I could add with air pressure in it).

Also Motor Trike is apparently the exclusive provider for the Big Bike Parts tire gaurd system. They sell the complete system for 270.00 and it comes with everything needed to install. I have a friend who has this system, it's nice.. uses a wireless keyfob style remote that allows you to set, high and low pressure warnings for each tire, as well as a temperature alert. This is a great feature in my opinion, especially when you're travelling and get something in a tire that creates a slow leak early on into your trip.
