I had a 2009 GL1800 with Tow-Pac for 17,600 miles. Most of the time I was running a Darkside tire (Kumho run-flat). Biggest problem was getting the TP wheels aligned with the main wheel.

I found two pieces of angle iron, predrilled that were just right. Put bolts/washers/nuts just snug to hold the angle iron to the rear wheel. Used 2x6 blocks to hold them up. I was then able to measure from the center of the TP tire to the angle iron. Compared measurements from the front side to the backside and adjusted for a slight toe-in per
the instructions. See photos. Also Fender Lights I installed for Brake Lite/Running Lites/Turn Signals.

Great idea Robert - I may use that next time I adjust my TP tires... I'm about to try a Yokohama Avid Envigor on mine... Probably have a bit over 2K miles on mine new and really loving it... I bought the Yoko used from a guy complete with TPMS rim and sensor... The tire has only about 2K miles left on it but it will be enough to see if I like it...

Can you give me your thoughts on going darkside over MC tire with the Tow Pac???

My lights on the TP are LED and I use the red one for both running and brake using a few isolation diodes and a resistor - works well...

...and that was a fine looking Tow-Pac unit.
