On my Ultra, I just open the Tour Pack top cover and if you have a phillips head screw just reach down between the seat & tourpack with a stubby screwdriver and undo it. Be careful when you lift seat off as you don't want to scratch tourpack with seat bracket. I put my hand over bracket to lift. If you have a bolt holding seat on you could use socket and a extension. Hope this helps

thanks for reply..thought it would be easy (like on my road king.).but tour pac is "tight" to rear of seat and if i force screw driver down onto screw its at the wrong angle...looking underneath i see 3 bolts..hope they will allow to move pac
will try loosening pac another day..its 103 here !!! GGGRRRR
thanks again

You should be able to get to that screw without moving the tourpak. I do it often. Just use a long shank #2 phillips with the tourpak open.

When you get the screw out, replace it with a thumb screw. Chrome one's should be avail. at any Harley dealer
I would protect the tour pak by putting tape on it to keep from scratching it with the mounting tab on the seat.

one other thing I didn't mention. When it was a 2 wheeler, I would get at it by going between the fender & tourpack from the side with a offset phillips that would ratchet..... piece of cake
