I have a 2008 FXD with a Lehman Renegade kit on it, I would like to put a tour pac on the luggage rack and remove the sissy bar that is currently on it. On the Lehman web site it says the rack is not meant to mount a tour pac. If I mount one on it am I risking some kind of structural damage to my trunk? I called Lehman and asked and was told it was a good question then transferred to a person who never called back. Surely someone here has done this modification.
Thanks for the help!

My first trike was on '02 HD FLHT with a Renegade kit. The installer ran four bolts through the bottom of the tour pack, through the top of the Renegade kit and bolted the whole thing together. Holes were sealed with slilcone. Never leaked a drop.

You need to remove the rack and backrest bar to use a Harley-Davidson tourpack. There are ribs on top of the Renegade body that align with the 2005 and earlier tourpack. You can order a King tourpack which is the stripped down model, or an Ultra Tourpack that has all the lights. You can also get the Chopped or Pancake version. These come painted and may be available in your color. You will also have to fill the holes from the existing rack and backrest support (clear silicone). This makes a sturdy support. Thanks .. the plan all along was to remove the sissy bar. The way it is mounted has too much gap between the rear of the seat and the sissy bar and is uncomfortable for my wife.
