To all those Guys who will NEVER ride a trike....snicker

I bought my first motorcycle when I was 15 with money I made in the hay fields at 1 1/2 cents a bale. I am 75 now and I have always said that I would go to a trike when the time came! Well, it came last year and to be honest, if I had known how much fun they are I'd have switched to a trike sooner!!! I really never cared what someone else thought, each to their own LOL! I find a trike a lot more relaxing than a bike, it is a lot safer and easy to ride. More luggage room and it has slowed me down some. Folks always complained that I rode to fast, now I just cruise around LOL.

My story is a bit different than most here about why I got my trike. I had ridden two wheels for 15+ years starting in my 20s. One day after my father-in-law passed away, my wife and daughter came to me and said, "We trust your riding but not others' driving, and we can't stand the thought of losing someone else right now," so I sold my bike. Over time, my wife and I did discuss maybe trying a trike but never pursued it.

Then, for whatever reason, this last year I got the bug again and sat her down and said point blank, "After all this time, would you be comfy with me getting a trike vs two wheeler , cause I need to ride again?". Two months later, we got a 16 Triglide and haven't looked back. Got winter gear and have already put about 2k miles on her. We are looking forward to this spring and summer, Colorado will never look better than it will from our trike.

I thought trikes looked cool back in the early 2000s, but man, oh man, I can't help thinking of what I missed not covering years ago. If given the chance, I would not go back to two wheels. I swear some curves can be ripped through on a trike just as good, if not faster, than some on two-wheel bikes.
