Toying with maybe joining the trike world

New member and posting for the first time. Learned a few things right away. I am glad to find this site prior to entering the Trike world and to learn what is good and what is not.
I have a 2014 Harley Ultra Limited that I may convert to a Trike, or I might buy an existing trike or kit. Reading threads to see if this is wise. I rented a Harley Tri-Glide in June for Americade and I hated the ride; rather rough and steered like a truck. Very tiring and not fun at the end of the day. Fine machine on the highway, but backbreaking to handle on the curvey Adironrack backroads. Appears that Harley has a solid axle and a 4 degree rake and other manufactures have IRS and longer rakes (as much as 6"). Not being an engineering type person, most of this is confusing to me. Hopefully, I can find some other trike models to demo ride/rent from other manufacturers for comparison purposes.

WELCOME to TRIKE TALK...Try to find some Other Trikes You can Demo Ride for comparison, and here at TRIKE TALK, Read, Read, Read.....ThumbUp

Test ride, test ride, then test ride some more. I chose a Hannigan Transformer for my Ultra Classic for the wider stance, longer wheel base for a smoother ride then there is the larger trunk. All of this plus the awsome looks puts a Transformer way ahead of a Triglide. Take as many test rides as you can and I think you will choose an independent suspension and more rake. If you want to come to KY I will let you try mine.
