Can a person take their trike to a regular tire shop to have the tires on the trike balanced, or do you have to go to a cycle repair shop?

How about the4 Dyna-Beads? Has anyone else tried them? I put them in but I cannot testify whether they make a difference.
And then there is the "Ride-On" tire sealant which is reputed to provide balancing. So I guess I balanced and leak-proffed my tires all at the same time. All feels smooth.
Have the Dyna beads in the tires of my International 4700 and they have made quite a difference

</div>The 2006 GW trike that I bought last year had this "Ride On" in all 3 tires, when they were installed new, prior to the original owner's lengthy trip out west. I don't believe he rode it much after that trip, before selling it some time later.<br />

When I got it, I immediately noticed a low speed (25-35ph) wobble that was so severe that it was dangerous to let go of the handlebars, for even 1 or 2 seconds (yes, I know that we shouldn't do that, and nobody ever does
). <br />

In any case, the wheels had not been balanced other than the Ride-On. I didn't ride much at all over the winter, so I only just took it to a bike shop a week or so ago, to have the wheels removed, tires cleaned out, spin-balanced with weights, and also a new front tire installed and balanced. It is a different trike now. No wobble, in spite of the fact that both rear tires are cupped; one pretty severe. If the shop had told me that, or if I had been better at inspecting the tires, I actually would have replaced both rears, even though the mileage isn't that much.<br />

The shop told me that one rear wheel needed 3 oz to balance; the other needed 4. He said that is a lot. Still, it balanced to "zero", and is wobble free.<br />

My advice is to forget about that stuff, and high-speed balance them properly.

</div>Advice duly noted. I forgot to mention that all three tires had already been spin balanced before adding the Ride-ON and that is very likely why I have no wobble or balance broblems. And I still have the leak-proofing! :yes:

get the rear trued and balanced
I am waiting for thst centrium auto balancer i hear it is a very good set up. The best thing about it is it is a one time deal .
Been using RideOn for years with absolutely no problems and very smooth tires.
However, waiting on a report from RideOn concerning a user finding the material in clumps inside his tires. This is a strange occurrence and has me concerned!

I had 20K miles on my MPA front tire when I developed a slight vibration. Put some Ride On in and now no vibration.
Since I sell trailers for a living I buy the Dyna beads in bulk, if anyone is interested in some I would be happy to weigh them out motorcycle size packs and mail them.
2oz in front and 3 in back would be recomended.

I have used the Dyna Beads and they work great My wife noticed how much smoother the trike was after I installed them.
I installed them in All tires.
Have your rims checked. Make sure they are a tru round with no blemishes.

I have centramatic wheel balancers on the front wheel. Would Dyna beads in the rear tires help? I do notice a bit of skidding when I turn certain corners.
However the tires seem to ride well with no wobbling.
How much for the 2 oz. or 3 oz?

Guys, I have just returned from a 2,200 mile 14 day ride and this is the first day I have been back on the site.
For trikes use 2 0z in the front tires and 3 oz in the rear.
The price is slightly over $4 per oz. so to make the math easy.
$5 per oz for the beads
$5 for the applicator Can be reused over and over.
$5 postage in the USPS priority flat rate box.
I will send the extra coin in the help matain the website $3-5 per order depending on the size.
