I have a 1997 GL1500 Aspencade with 33,000 miles on it. The last 11,000 as a trike. I mentioned to a friend that it's starting to sound a little rough at low idle. He mentioned that I should look into having the timing belt changed before it breaks on it's own. I know it's never been changed. What I'd like to know is if a worn belt would cause extra noise, what it might cost to get it replaced and if there are any other items I should get repaired while they have it opened up.
