Thinking about a new seat to replace stock

Just finished installing my new Russell Day Long. Wow they sure do nice work. Seat is perfect and looks super nice. I think I am going to love it as soon as this crappy weather gives up.

We've tried several "cushions" etc. over the years. Some we liked.....some we didn't. A good while back (2008/2009?), there was a Russell Day Long group buy on one of the GW forums. I think they needed something like 50 seat orders to make the group buy happen and it had a pretty good discount with it. After a discussion with my wife, we decided to get on the group buy as it was the only way we were ever going to come close to affording an RDL at the time. I think we were #48 or #49...can't remember. Anyway, we went with a black vinyl with diamond pleats, went with the driver's backrest and also had stock passenger backrest done in the same as well. IIRC, they suggested about a 200 mile break-in period for it. Once that seat was broken in, it was a Godsend! It's still in use on our trike today and shows little or no wear, still just as comfortable even after all these years. It has held up really, really well. IMHO, the RDL is very hard to beat, but it is pricy. We would definitely recommend and buy another if needed. Oh, in hot weather, we toss a set of beads on it and they keep some cool air under the tush pretty good. :)
