Great story, I bet you were super happy to be on a trike in all that bad weather. I can relate as it has been cold here too. I rode over the montains here and had 15 foot snow drifts. Our favorite ride, the Beartooth Mountains are closed due to avalanches. It was open for two days on Memorial day weekend and been closed since. May be opened tomorrow. I really enjoyed your story and all the pictures too. Those are the rides that will always be remembered.

I enjoyed reading your blog! My husband and buddy just returned from a similar trip on their Harleys, only they left from Ohio, south to Texas, then your route to California, up along the coastal highway, the loop back to Ohio. They also hit snow (10") and hail and dodged tornados! I didn't ride along this time unfortunately! Glad you (and they) are all home safely.

You are right, there is no way I would have made it on just two wheels. There is a definate advangage with three wheels.
