Tailgate load

I ride a kawaski nomad 1500 w/ vorger trike kit and want to know if the tailgate of 2011 f 150 6.5' bed will take the weight of the trike back wheel on the tailgate,if I put 3/4 plywood on it . Thanks Mike

Welcome to Trike-Talk.... Yes it would be strong enough, Especially If you are using an full length sheet of plywood... i.e.; from the back of the cab to over the tailgate ...

The three back tires will be half way out on the tailgate, will it hold the weight? Sorry for being so detailed just don't want to get into a jam thanks mike

With the Plywood yes......And the Plywood is really strong stuff , Why its even the Florida state Tree.....

Ive had heavy quads on my Rams tail gate [6.5 also] without any plywood, Many times without any problems...You'll be ok....

I almost forgot, Make sure you strap it down so the trike doesn't roll forward, And bend the bed rail or brake the rear window... Seen that happen more than once...

Thanks that's one thing I have learned the hard way strap,strap,strap, in other words i hog tie it. This forum is great. I glad I found it. Plan on riding the dragon
