Suprised with results

As the temps were in the mid to high 70s today, took the bride out for a 2 tank cruise. Thought I would try some baffle test. Took the lexan portion off the lower tree baffle and ran just the metal bracket. Took off on interstate and with the lexan portion off, I got a little air under faring and up over tank, not allot. Started playing with adjustable vents on faring and lowers. What surprised me was it was more comfortable with all closed. When one wanted a good air flow over body, feet out on highway pegs and knees out. Same results on two lanes at 55.
Just plain one comfortable riding day out there.
Also, around town, rear tires at only 16, could not believe the ride. Figure I will pump them up some for trips but for now, they stay the same.
Would like to hear from others with the baffles after they try riding with all vents closed.

I am not a tire expert, but food for thought. If you were to take a sharp corner with the pressure low, would the sidewall roll and maybe break the bead.
Is there a tire expert out there who would comment on this thought about the sidewalls?
I know I run what the trike conversion says, 28 rear, 35 front.

Dennis..I have had all my upper and lower fairing vents closed from day 1 after I installed all of your baffles. As I said before, there is virtually no wind hittin' me anywhere except the top of my head,, or my helmet. Installing the Clark windshield a coupla weeks ago made for even less.! Not that I dont mind some wind...It is just not too fun when it is 32 degrees. Like you, I figured out if I wanted some breeze, move feet out to the road pegs and that works well for that. Snowing again here today, so not ridin' ... Unlike Bozo I am sure!!!..But I have been able to rack up 3,000 cold weather miles in the last 2 1/2 months thanks in a big part to your deflection gear. My Bob ( Babe on Back ) went with me last week after sittin' out ridin since Oct because of the cold. She could tell a huge difference in the amount of wind hittin' her too. If she is happy, then my life gets even better!!

Next time you ride in cooler temps, reach down and just open each lower vent one click, you will be suprised, your legs will get a little heat.
What I was suprised at these last few days riding warm days was with all closed, I felt less heat from bike on legs and bike ran its normal head temps.

I have no ideas in that area either. Just tried a sugestion on rear pressures and it worked for me riding around town.
As I mentioned, I will raise it back a little for a road trip but have never ran them 26 as book states, road like a log truck. Have always ran 22, now at 16 for town and will try 18 and 20 for a few days.
