streetglide three wheeler

I would have bought in a minute, Instead of the T/G But they stopped making them.
And thinking about it they would have lost a T/G sale..
That's one reason why Honda doesn't make an in house Goldwing Trike...They will lose a lot of Two-Wheel Wing sales... And before someone brings up the Honda 3 wheelers that they sold in the 80's They were not Trikes they were ATC's with locked rear axles [not to be confused with solid axles] For off road use only, Not made for solid road surfaces..
I owned 4 of them over the years... My Sons and I rode them into oblivion on our 13 hundred Acres.. And no one was maimed or killed..
And no Lawyers made a dime off us''

Not sure this is relevant to the Street Glide trike but, in the automotive world, a model was short lived usually because it did not sell enough units in the first couple years to pay for itself!
Would be interesting to know how many were sold!

I think that with the TG, if you put a shortie windshield on it and take off the tour pack, you have a street glide trike. But the freewheeleer is a totally different animal. kind of a sports car trike.

Talked to our dealer 'way back when' He said it didn't make any sense for his dealership to order the Tri and the XXX They said for the 3 grand difference in price it made more sense to buy the Tri and take off the tourpack and lower fairings. He couldn't keep Tri's in stock. He is having a hell of a time getting Freewheelers from the factory. I bought mine while it was in transit to his dealership, it went on the showroom with a "SOLD, please don't sit on me" sticker and I picked it up the next day.

Simple reason for dropping it from the lineup...Too good of a thing!

I love my XXX and wouldn't get rid of it for anything.....except MAYBE a Freewheeler like my wife bought. But I think I would be like her...keep one trike and add another.

Oh...and another thing...scarcity keeps the values up!
