Just bought a stinger trailer for towing the Tri Glide. I towed it empty for approx 200 miles at 70 miles per. It never waivered or swayed a bit. The picture shows 2 spare tires that I tied on to get some tongue weight. Not sure I really needed it but everything was right on.

GVW on the trailer is 2990 trailer weighs 550. Tri Glide weighs 1150. Trailer tongue weight is recommended to be 10-15%
Towing home empty I figured 50# tongue weight to prevent sway. The tires provided that tongue weight. I have just purchased a new vehicle with 5K towing capacity and will be looking forward to giving a report on how it all goes when complete.

I towed home the trailer with a truck, but the new tow vehicle is a Honda Passport. Couldn't believe the Passport had that high of a towing capacity but it does with Honda towing package which includes a tranny cooler.

Anyone else have the stinger for tri-glide? What are your pro's and con's to the stinger.? I will chime in on those questions once I get it all set up

The Stinger is an interesting trailer. It is a little cheaper than an Aluma non-folding trike trailer. I suspect it will tow great behind a vehicle rated for 5,000 pound capacity.

I traded for a new Telluride this year that has a 5,000 pound tow capacity. My enclosed 14' trailer, with the trike and everything else loaded, weighs about 4,000 pounds. I don't like being that close to the vehicle's limits so I may end up swapping out trailers.

Let us know how you like the Stinger.

It is not an enclosed trailer that is for sure. My Outlook is most likely different than most. Limited time on this earth at my age reflects in a lot of my decisions. Budget kept me in this type of trailer as well as storage having to keep it on site in a two car garage that’s packed to the brim. It is important to remember the reason someone buys a folding trailer and not an enclosed trailer. My preferences would’ve been enclosed, but at this point in my life, it’s just not on the agenda.

The stinger delivered to my front door brand new would’ve been $4400. I bought a used 2020 stinger for $1150. It completes everything that I wished to have happen and that’s to be able to transport the trike to another spot so I can go for a ride with my wife. Her bones just can’t handle more than 100 miles. Enclosed trailer versus a stinger? Why I would be a sucker to think that anything other than an enclosed trailer is the best option. Necessity amount of use ability to store and ability to tow along with the excellent price, Dictated my decisions on which way to go. Could it be a little tough on the paint job? You bet it can be. Do I give a shit? Not at this time because all the other blocks were filled.

To be completely transparent about the whole trailer buying situation if it was physically in me to be able to ride two wheels that’s where I’d be. Considering that the trike trailer is gonna sit 75% of the time it becomes clear which way to go.

The decision to leave two wheels and to go to a trike was an expensive decision. Getting all set up to this point, trike, trailer, & vehicle was a 100 K decision to make it happen. That’s a significant amount to keep the thrill post to wheel riding.

My set up is a Jeep Wagoneer with a 14 foot open utility trailer. I’ve towed it thousands of miles with no paint/damage issues. I’m certain stones can happen, but I’m questioning the frequency of it. ( I know I’m jinxing myself! Next time out, 2 inch stone to the fairing!!)

I have towed it down the freeway @67 MPH. I didn't know it was back there. Really a good match with the 2025 Honda Passport. A little concerned about the amount of wheel wash from the SUV that will hit the trike. Any good suggestions? George,
Check out the Weather Tech Extended Length Mud Flaps in the link below. The video in particular..These look like a great option.

I will give it a close look. The dealer put on mud flaps just not sure they’re as long as the weather tech

I towed my 14 TG to Canada in my op 6x10 standard trailer last year behind my truck, we lucked out with the weather but still got a little bit of dirt on it. Not biggie, no worse than riding it really. Good mud flaps would alleviate this concern.
