After two months of educating myself on trike kits, talking to members on this board, test driving different kits and talking to reps and installers, I finally jumped into the deep end and purchased a 2013 Silver Hannigan trike from the good folks at Honda of Russellville.
I took delivery on May 4th in a steady rain and 48 degree temperatures (kudos to Honda for the heated grips and seat) and headed south on scenic route 7 through the Ouachita National Forest to Hot Springs, Arkansas. My triking experience, to this point, had been limited to test rides of the various kits on the flatlands of Florida. After about 20 miles, I started to develop a resemblance of triking technique through the twisties. The wet roads added to the challenge.
After two days and 667 miles, I pulled into my garage with the same silly grin that I started with.
I am starting to fully understand the lure of triking.
See you down the road.
