steering question

Is it normal for the front wheel to feel a little loose and want to pull the handlebars when going over something at a angle at slower speeds?
I'm new to triking and am a little concerned that something may be wrong. I've installed a Ez-Steer / Champion IRS trike on my 07 1800 and have made sure everything is torqued to the specified lbs and have loosened and retighten the axle and pinch bolts to make sure that was good. I don't remember the 2 wheel version doing this but, it may be normal on the three wheel version.
Thanks
Ron

Yes it's normal... I think when most people convert to trikes they tend to form the idea it's like "riding in a convertible car." It's a motorcycle... I would never ride two wheels or three over rough pavement or any sort of road hazard with out BOTH HANDS on the bars.

I guess I could go into the geometry of trikes and how rake and trail affect the steering..but I think that's better left to you to research as you'll understand it better in the long run. ThumbUp

When I turn into my driveway there is a V-shape drain gutter between street and driveway. As soon as my rear wheels hit the gutter, first the left then the right, the handle bars will pull one way then the other as each rear wheel goes in and out of the gutter. Just the nature of the beast.
Mine is a Champion S/A.

yep sounds normal to me also. its a normal thing of one wheel wanting to pull one way then the other the other way
