sreet glide front wheel on a softail standard

Has anyone ever put an 18 inch street glide front wheel on a 2000 softail standard. I am converting my softail to a Frankenstein trike kit and would like to use the brand new street glide wheel that I have

I put a 16" 2004(?) Road King "wagon" front wheel on my 2001 FXST. Bolt-on, no problems. I don't know about later model wheels specifically, but you will at least need to make sure you have the appropriate wheel bearings installed (3/4" I think), and adjust the axle spacers.

I also put a 2004(?) wagon wheel on the front of my 1997 Electraglide DFT trike. Had to adjust the axle spacers a bit and notch the bearing bore for the speedo drive. A little more work but not bad.

If you've already got the wheel, do a trial fit-up.

I put a 2012 18" Street Glide wheel on my 2005 Road King, I bought a 25mm axle and spacers, changed the rotors and it bolted right on. You may need to change the rotors depending on the year the SG wheel is, the older bikes used 11.5 rotors and `08 and up use 11.8. I`m not familiar with softail front ends but I assume the forks are all the same.

With the right spacers and not to tall for the fender it will work . If the wheel has 1" bearings you can buy adapters for your 3/4 axle . ThumbUp
