This has been a topic on and off. The Harley brand split vision are pretty pricy and not only that they are not ready available for shipment. Infact when I tried placing an order there is 9 weeks waiting period. I did try the spot mirrors on factory mirrors and wasn't happy with them. Tried couple different brands but the quality of the mirror glass was not good. So there has been comments on the China made version and some good and some not so good. Decided go for a pair from dealer with the best rating on eBay. Same dealer on both Amazon and eBay. Got them pretty quick. With that said I was surprised on the quality and for 1/3 price of Harley brand. For me these are much better than stock/ with spot mirror. Guess I'll wait and see as time goes on.....just my 2cents. Ride safe !

I have the genuine HD ones (had them on my last two wheeler also, but I absolutely love them! An earlier post brought out some haters on the look, but honestly, (in my opinion) they look great! And the added vision is a HUGE plus!

I will still look over my shoulder when changing lanes, but those extra “blind spot” vision are helps a lot. IMG_9735.jpegGlad to hear a good review report on a pair of A/M and will help save some $$ for others of interest.

Would'nt those little 1" stick on "blind spot" mirrors work in this same situation???

My take: Generic stick on mirrors are round where the Harley split mirrors use a wider, elliptical mirror so they have a much wider and optically correct field of view. For those looking for function, style and safety, it is more than a question of what will work for cheap, but what provides the clearest and widest rear field of view. Riding a motorcycle does not provide the same level of safety as a 2 ton car does, so safety is the main consideration and well worth a few extra bucks in my opinion.

After riding with the new " split vision mirrors " and realizing the over all view vs the stick on convex I noticed a much wider view. Another factor to is that when your are used to having them in every day driving either your personal vehicle or work related vehicle it sure gives you a piece of mind to keep you safe. We all know there is a lot of drivers that you have to watch out for....
