Speedo Drops to Zero on Tri-Glide?

Y'all ever have your speedo just drop to zero for approx 2 minutes?

Check the sensor connection or possibility that the sensor has some fine metal on it covering the pickup end. There are other possibilities but I've only encountered that one once on my trike.

I'm going to just replace it. 80 bucks at the not so local hd dealer. Did you have to remove the starter to get to it? I'm reading conflicting methods between my manual and on line.

My 2017 did the same. I changed the transmission lube, problem solved.

Debris in the lube will do that.

I did but it was not difficult.

Replaced. 1.5 hours. Had to remove starter.

And i actually think it runs better. Much smoother idle. Cant wait to see if it improves on the 33 mpg.

Hello everyone
I have a Rewaco trike.
My speedometer randomly starts and stops with no apparent pattern.
Lately it seems to operate when the motor is warm and after I’ve opened up the throttle to full speed for a few seconds. Has anyone else experienced this?

IDK what a rewaco is. Is it harley? I had a similar issue and triketalk lead me to replace the speed sensor. Under starter.

Try the solution to the above. That would be where to start. Most cause for this issue.

Like you, I hope you can improve your MPG. How long have you been getting just 33?

I have the CSC conversion and constantly get about 40 mpg. Road a few miles yesterday - filled up just before getting home.

Ever since owning it. I actually think thats okay bc it is a heavy machine. My old 05 heritage got a consistant 45 mpg from new and up to 140k mi.
We bought it used with 11k on it and it was like new. It has the VH Fuelpak of which im leary of messing with. Ill prob get it checked out at sturgis in aug if vh is there.

Hey, I just remembered - my bike has an info screen.

Take a look at yours - you might be getting better milage than you think.

Rewaco is a trike made in Germany
