speaker question

i am wanting to upgrade my front speakers but don't want to spend 400 bucks on a pair. will any 6.5 inch speakers fit my 17 tri glide i am sure i can find some good speakers at a reasonable price. i guess i am a little on the cheap side

Do not use automotive speakers. You need water proof speakers.

FYI = do not go cheap on motorcycle speakers - you will be sorry.

I have been looking at Rockford fosgate setup, 4 speakers 6.5, and a 400 amp, around $1300 for future use, harley puts in the cheapest crap and I sure wouldn't go with their boom crap either

As said above don't go cheap and get waterproof speakers

As said above check out J & P they have some speakers that might work for you

I tried a Hog Tunes limited R M set up ,it came with 6 speakers and a 200 watt amp , it was not much better than stock on my 2020. Then I got a J&M ROCKER XXR stage 5 800 watt amp 4 speakers This is GOOD there no lower fairing speakers , At 80 mph I can hear the music clearly. They were on ebay for $1550. now I see there $1800. Allmost as good as my stock radio on my 08 Goldwing

I just went to the J&M website and took a look, that outfit that you got is around $1,900 on their website, and I would think a 800 watt amp you would hear it clearly at 80 mph and if not I would wonder why for that kind of money.

Thanks for the tip, as far as harley stage one speaker and amp upgrade is crap, some people might like it but have been told by reliable sources don't waste your money on them, might say something when you see so many of harley speakers and amps on ebay for sale or even craiglist, got to tell you something, I know some people that went that route and regretted it, ended up selling it for what they could get and go with after market which are twice as good and cheaper than harley crap

I have a set of speakers I never used. They are compatible 6.5 " waterproof . I have used this type of speaker on 3 diff. bikes since 2012 . Currently have them on my 2020 also. $165 shipped.

I've had Hog Tunes on my older bikes and they are very good. On my last 2 TriGlides I went with the H-D Stage II speaker/amp setup. I love them and I can clearly hear my music at 80 mph (when and if I ever ride that fast)- with ear plugs in. Too loud without ear plugs.

No thanks, Hog Tune speakers are great, but I already have the ones I want.

My lower rocker name is "MUSICMAN" - I do love my music and I share with everyone - screw loud pipes, I have loud speakers.
