social distance

The retard that calls himself Governor here in N.C. has issued a Stay At Home order beginning I think Sunday at 5pm. But he has exempted every place I go anyway. Fast food is drive through only. Rode down to Chik Fillet this morning on the trike. Ever try to balance a bag and coffee while working the clutch and throttle? Should be a friggen Olympic sport. Rode around and sat at the picnic table they got. Little girl pops her head out: "No dining in by state order!" I said I'm not in I'm out! 2 Deputies and a State Trooper where sitting there also and just started laughing. Been selling some chickens as people are afraid of running out of food or something. How you keep a live chicken in an apartment is beyond me but there you go.If'n things get bad enough I figure it will be 1 live chicken= 3 gallons gas/ diesel @ today's market rate. Tomorrow who knows.

NYC epidemic

In talking to a neighbor , a NYC detective , it’s totally out of control there. He is assigned to a petrol car telling people to stay at hone over the cars PA. He says most gave him the royal salute. The people with the black trench coats and side pig tails , just ignore them .

Many states have signs up , “New Yorkers Go Back Home”

Our Governor (FL) didn't want to close all the beaches while spring break was in full swing. He also drug his feet on doing anything about bars and restaurants. Now however as we quickly approach 100 deaths he has taken action. It is obvious the State wanted to squeeze every last dollar they could from those visiting our State.

Of course one thing he is targeting now is vehicles with NY plates. There are at least two checkpoints that have been set up on I-10 and I-95. Apparently if you have a NY plate you can expect to be pulled out of line and closely questioned/examined coming south.

I know this whole virus situation changes daily around the country. Truth be told two weeks ago Florida was saying "come on down and spend your money" but now they are saying "get the h%&& out".

Well... 9 new cases diagnosed here this afternoon alone in our zip 78660

They are taking additional measures by closing lake pflugerville and the walking trail around it for being over crowded with too many people

Virginia's governor issued a mandatory stay-at-home order at 2pm today. He said the beaches were packed this weekend and people weren't following the groups of 10 or less guideline. In effect until June 10th. (happy birthday to me)

I placed an online order to Sam's Club this morning. Will go pick it up tomorrow morning and head back home. It's the first time I am trying this. Hope it goes well.

I hope I can get a refund for the bluegrass festival tickets that I bought last month. They're for the week after Memorial day.

Ma Nature gave us some help in social distance on saturday :devil:IMG_0384.JPGIMG_0385 (1).JPG got one good size dent on the roof of my truck. Really feel bad to all those who deal with size of hail all of the time. btim

We needed about 4 grocery items yesterday to get us through a couple of more weeks of staying out of store and such. There was a Dollar General in the small town close to our current campground that didn't look busy so I ducked in there. Of course I had on plastic gloves plus a bandana.

Ended up waiting in the checkout line but it was no big deal because they had pieces of tape on the floor with the words "stand here" six feet apart. The two folks in front of me were standing on their lines. I turned to the side to look at something and out of the corner of my eye I realized the moron behind me was no more than 2 feet away!

I probably should have said something like "excuse me sir, but would you mind standing six feet away". Instead what really came out was a loud "SIX FEET PAL, CAN'T YOU F$%*#*@ READ?" He came out of whatever stupor he was in and moved away.

I'm starting to think they should call this the stupidvirus instead of the coronavirus.

This whole thing is turning us into bigger assholes than we already were. The human side of humanity is gone. I went to the store the other day. People with masks gloves and yup rain coats. I saw two older women I could see they were perplexed. I asked if they were ok. Yes but no one would help them. One couldn't reach the top shelf the others eyes were so bad she couldn't read how many ounces were in the package. We should be ashamed at the society we've become. Supposedly religious people bragging about how many rounds of ammo they have to fight off the hordes. What a shame. You come to my house and you're hungry we'll eat. If I don't have food we'll starve together. If this is the new normal it is shameful.

People are using this virus as an excuse for their [Latent] anti social behavior .....

Other than the stores , ware being social never existed anyway, the neighbor hood here is more social than before , and respecting the distance thing. I’ve even met a few newbees that I didn’t even know , and I’ve been here for over 40 years.

Not like at the glamp , ware the city folk won’t even respect or want to speak the English language = NO RESPECT :gah:

I'm doing my part of social distancing, I'm staying home like our governor wants, only going out for groceries and that is about it, the bad thing is I'm gaining weight, I'm snacking more than I ever have, very bad habit that I have, sure don't want to buy new jeans in the future but if this keeps up I may have to. One thing about it I can go out and do yard work, that may help, have some other projects outside to keep me busy without leaving home, eventually it will warm up enough around here to dig the trike out and go riding and I will keep my distance there also since I ride by myself.

All for now Trampas

Put on weather-appropriate clothes and walk around your property 10 complete loops, twice a day... that will help some and keep you safe at home.

I did that here awhile back, went down the sidewalk to the end of the street, felt good but back was bothering me before I got back, I have bone against bone in lower back from a injury from work, also have plantar factiistis which I have some good shoes for that but sometimes it bothers me.

Thanks for the suggestion though, I just have to learn not to snack, LOL, just took brownies out of oven :D:D:D
