So, the Tri-Glide can be hot, but

Here is a thought for you. When I logged in the Computer said there were 578 viewing this forum. There are 50 responding to your heat question, less than 10% Either the other 528 people don't post, or they don't have a problem with heat Good Luck, don't get scared away because others have a problem, drop the bucks and rent a Harley for the day. THAT will tell you if you have a heat tolerance or not.

.......Or they have already solved the heat problem.

Rode from Branson to Lawrenceville, Il. yesterday. Cool in the morning and hot in the afternoon. Never really was bothered by the motor heat. From Branson to Springfield MO. Rt. 65 then Rt. 44 until thru St. Louis and then hit Rt. 50 to Lawrenceville.

I agree, I guess I'm one of the 90%ers, [do they make a patch for that?:D].
No heat tolerance problems with me or the wife ThumbUp on our 2013 T/G [stock].
I don't understand it...

Not to hi jack this thread. But AZBOB. I stay in Surprise, Az for the winter months. been up to that Mc Donald's by you almost a doz times while were there. It would be cool to have all the Az riders on here meet up in Wickenburg after Jan next yr. Rick

Rollin,
I'm up for that, let's do it. If not Wickenburg then anywhere that's convenient for most & would make a good ride for the rest of us in the winter!

I have a 2013 Ultra Classic (103) and a 2013 Triglide (103). Ultra has Rinehart true duels, stage 1 and HD's tuner, TG has Vance Hines TD's, stage 1 and HD's tuner. Both bikes have about 3500 miles on them and I can not notice any appreciable difference in heat from one or the other.

Before I purchased the TriGlide I test rode it about 40 miles and it was much hotter than my Ultra that already had the exhaust changes. If I thought that I could not cool it down by making the above changes, I would have left it at the dealers.

As others have mentioned and I agree that it is kinda painful to spend this much money on something and have to further spend on making it more comfortable.

I personally feel that it is not possible to design heat out of an air cooled engine. I wanted a Harley and as I have been doing for over 25 years, I keep buying them, I continue spending money on them and I keep changing them....it's what we do.

JimmyDee, I'm with you.
Some people like me have a higher tolerance for heat and it doesn't bother me.
You could look at it another way. H-D probably could do all the previous mentioned mods and increase the price of the TG or as they are doing - selling at a lower price and letting the individual make whatever changes THEY need to do.
