So I'm tooling down the highway........

Wait, HAPPY FRIDAY!

Okay, so I'm tooling down the highway when this anorexic old man (“old man” – dude about my age) with some Lolita (good for you mister) glued to his spine pulls up to my right on his HD product.

He’s looking all bada$$ with his cut off sleeves (60 degrees out) revealing small tattoos size matched to his skinny arms. The Lolita sits motionless to his rear, staring at me with unblinking eyes, an eerie look on her face. Can’t tell if it’s terror or mental impairment.

I give him a wave.

He starts yelling: “murmur mumble spit unintelligible “TRIKE” murmur murmur growl spit growl!”

I can’t hear him. The combination of the wind noise, my well worn eardrums and his can-you-hear-me-now pipes make it impossible.

I mouth back “WHAT?” and perform the international symbol for “I cannot hear you” which is: point to an ear, then face your palm to the heavens and shake your head.

Old skinny guy drops back for a tenth, then pulls back up. He is yelling at me again. I ignore him this time but study Lolita. I’m starting to think that maybe she’s dead or maybe she is one of those silicone love friends you can buy in Japan (I know because I saw it on TV, so just leave it alone.)

Anyhow, don’t know what the point of all this is.

But, since I usually post useless stuff, I figure why stop now?

A happy Friday to y'a too! Yeah have had similar experiences...sitting at a light and look in the mirror with two bike headlights coming up with the loud rumble (that's what caused me to look) they pull up in either side but not all the way so I do the nodd and can't hear what their saying due to the noise from all three of our bikes... Then I hear laughing and turn to them only to hear through all the noise "that's a big ass" not 5 seconds pass the light turns and they both go around me in a peal out shaking their heads. Seems like even a wave sometimes to the 2 wheeler's is ignored ...snubbed since I'm on 3, didn't bother me just trying to be friendly. Most of us started on 2 wheels...not going to stop riding ThumbUp

There was a spell when I had a Dyna, a VTX, and a Triglide. During the cold months if we had a nice day I would get all three rolling to keep them loosened up. I noticed some of the 'bikers' would wave at me on the Dyna, would wave at me on the VTX, but snub me when on the trike. I guess at those times I was just too damn good looking for them...

To Paraphrase Yogi........If you don't wave to them... They won't wave back to you......And if they don't...So what... It all goes to eye contact when i wave i don't make eye contact with the other biker this way they don't know' That I know that they didn't wave back. :)

I always just figure they are filled with jealousy that my trike cost more than their 2 wheeled toy.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it... ThumbUp

Maybe he was giving me krapp, maybe not. Couldn't make out what he was saying.

For all I know, it could've been "Hey, my Cherry 2000 and I putt along here in total awe of your TRIKE,would you happen to have any Grey Poupon?"

Dunno.

I'll keep waving. I rule the world that is in my head and I'll see it how I see it. When I see other folks engaging in what I take to be knuckleheadery, I remember what Mike Petrie (RIP) used to say "Phuck 'em and feed 'em fish heads." In the mean time, I'll simply continue to abide.

When that happens I know that they are asking me to give the young lady a ride on my nice trike.

I learned a new word today, "knuckleheadery". Thanks ThumbUp

A long, long time ago, my father told me: "You meet all kinds of people when you on a bike(Trike)...."

The truth is people reveal their true selves without hesitation. And, you develop a general indifference/skepticism to everyone you generally have to share the road with.....

I have seen stupid people on bikes, trikes, and in cars and trucks.......

So, just accept it..........

:Agree: some good advise for sure! Doesn't really matter what you ride, it's the brotherhood that counts. Somehow we'll still encounter and endure all these @-holes :kpzxvq: out in the world, be it on 2, 3 or 4 wheels. Heck, they can just walk up to y'a....I've accepted it because in trade I have come across as many good people in my travels that offset the bad :Trike1:

Yup, and so the emskee abides.

Yesterday, my favorite wife, my favorite dog and I are zipping around on the FW.

Bad boy 20 something on his HD goes by, left hand committed to squeezing his upper thigh, looking nonchalant as can be for someone his age. I opt out and leave my hand on the grip. His hand continues to keep his junk company. The universe goes on.

Along comes some kid on a dual purpose something-or-other. I wave and he just about explodes as he, with great enthusiasm, waves back like he's trying to signal the passing ship which may save him from some deserted island. The universe gets better.

It's all good.

You see if you wave to them' Then thell wave back to you......:D
Its similar to what Yogi said'' If you don't go to their Funeral 'They won't go to yours....

Today temps are in the 30s. I'll be wearing my spiffy gauntlet gloves, great for waving.

And I'll be carrying some Grey Poupon just in case.
