I had flag mounts from The Pro Pad on the saddle bag guard rails of the Limited Low. Guard rails are 3/4" o d. Luggage rack rail dia is 1/2" o d. Pro pad wants $49.95 ea. for new bases to fit the luggage rack ? I don't think so .......... :gah: So off to the local Ace Hardware store. Bought some clear, soft vinyl tubing used in fish tanks. 3/4" o d, 1/2" i d Cut the suckers to fit as spacers under the original collar mounts for the flag poles. Bingo ! Perfect fit. Saved myself a C note.

I've taken several spirited, high speed runs on the interstate and TX two lanes with 75 mph speed limits since doing the mod. Flag poles are still upright. If they do start to rotate rearward, I will do a single wrap of friction tape on the rack bar, then install the poly tubing.
