Snowmobile -- trike ???

I was asked the other day if I seen any on the road . After the conversion , they look good,like their Spyder . Has anyone seen any on the road ?

When i had one of the first Spyder's registered in Jersey, It was Yellow and early 2008 i can't tell you how many people thought i converted a Can-Am snowmobile ..Even got stoped by the police 3 times to check if the plates were legal...:laugh:

Thank you peteg59 & rhino2, they sure look good , wonder how they handle ? Years ago we did a lot of snowmobiling in the Ossipee & Errol area in N H with the family .

Now I ride the stallion , with the big windshield & wind howling over the top of my helmet , it reminds me of riding the snowmobile . But a lot warmer & just as much fun .:clapping: When I take a ride in the spring I like to go to a little restaurant on Rt. 125 in Barrington N H called Good & Plenty . Peteg59 , I ride with Rosy & the snowbirds here in Fl, when I can . I will talk to him, maybe he can set up a ride this spring to have breakfast there , or some where in NH. with some trikers .

The only drawback to this type of conversion that I see, is most snowmobiles are of the 2 stroke design. More and more manufacturers are coming out with 4 strokers but for raw performance, nothing beats a 2 stroke in the snow. Unfortunately 2 stroke motors generate lots of heat and in addition to their onboard engineered closed loop cooling systems, they depend on snow being pushed onto the radiators/heat exchangers for added engine cooling, and that makes them limited for long range riding on the street. They are cool to look at, and marvel at someone's engineering skills on such a conversion.

I've been to the G&P restaurant in Barrington, & can attest that they lived up to their name in that their food was good, and portions were generous!

Certainly CaptainH, we should try to get something going for a group ride in the upcoming riding season. I'm game.

In the meantime maybe you, Rosy, & the rest of the "Snowbirds" down in Florida can focus on sending some of that sunshine & warmth back "home" right now for those of us stuck back here! I'm starting to get that dreaded "Cabin Fever", but realize there's still 90+ days or so before many decide to venture back out on the roads in New England once the snow has melted away...
