I couldn't find a way to delete my own post... otherwise I would have as I found the answer to my own question... siren installed... my ears aren't very happy at the moment :(

Hi All

Question regarding installing a siren to work with the pre-installed smart alarm system, I think all Trikes now come with the smart alarm system installed, without the actual siren of course... it's the Harley way...

I purchased the siren off-line and already have the proper duesch connector attached to the siren. All I need is a picture or clear description of where the mating connector under the left side panel of the trike is...

There appear to be a couple unused plugs on that side, one I'm sure is the ECM connection. For anyone who's added the actual HD siren OR aftermarket, which is the correct cable/plug to attach to..?

Pictures would be great if available.

Thanks!

Matt

Matt for those who are asking the same question would you please advise an answer.

If you're like me, then your sick and tired of paying Harley's jacked up prices... especially when there are good aftermarket products out there for a third of Harley's price.

This is a link on ebay to what I recently bought. Already cabled with a connector and ready to plug in. Take off the left side cover and you'll see a fuse box and some cabling. To the far right of the fuse box is a connector simply plugged straight into a bulkhead... not really connected to anything..

I recommend pulling the orange main fuse before unplugging anything. When you pull the plug from the bulkhead you'll see that it fits the connector seen in the image from the ebay alarm module.

Word of caution: There are two versions of the siren. There is the 'one' siren module and the 'two' module siren available. One siren alone is very loud... two is a screamer. And since me and the Mrs travel a bunch, I wanted to make sure I heard my trike's alarm when inside a motel etc... so I bought the two module siren.

As stated the alarm connector is under the LH sidecover. Its a 3 pin connector.White/Green/Black.Since I used a Radio Shack siren 2 wire I soldered pins on and use only the green/white sockets.Black not needed as its grounded through the BCM.
