slip stream grips..need some help

I purchased Slip Stream Handle grips for my 2015 triglide. It says on the package and on the web that they will fit my bike. part number 56100028. The left one went on Ok but I have a problem with the right one. It goes on but will not turn the throttle as it seem it will not mate with the throttle control at the end of the bars. Appreciate any help you can give me

Hi, just to make sure, does the inside of the grip have the teeth down in the end inside to mate with the gear on the end of the handlebar? If that's good try loosening the whole right handlebar assembly a little and sliding it toward the center of the bike. If I remember correctly, my new grips were just a shade longer then the stock grips.
Whatever you find, please post it so we can all benefit.

+1 on Bill's post. Look inside and make sure the teeth engage sounds like its not going all the way in.

There are no teeth in the end looks like I may have a defective product. I will take it back to the dealer on Monday and see where that goes.

Since you have to take them off to return them, check the grip on the left side for the teeth. Could have gotten them reversed, especially if you weren't expecting one to have teeth.

Bill I had not thought of that but I will find out tomorrow morning.

Well Bill was right I had the grips reversed. I didn't think of there being a left and a right grip. Bill you saved me some embarrassment at the dealer. Thanks for your help. This forum can be very helpful at times.

You're welcome. I wouldn't have known except that I changed my grips a couple weeks ago myself when I put on the 2+2 sweeper handlebars.
