SLINGSHOT by Polaris

Yea, I'm on their Email list ... It's a 3 wheel Street Side-By.....
Looks interesting...

Interesting looking machine, in the shadows. I'm guessing we'll see plenty of it soon. So much for the tease. Polaris must get in on the trike action, so do we prepare for the sticker show now?

Cross between a Can Am Spyder, a Stallion, and a RZR.
I like it (so far as the Concept goes) ThumbUp
and,,, It's by Polaris----It WILL be Top-Notch.

Just sold my 02 Sportsman 700 ATV. It also happened to be the first year twin model 700 for Polaris.
Last Polaris I'll ever buy. Nothing but troubles mechanically, electrically, you name it, in fact too many to detail here & now.
Anyone thinking about one of those best wait a few years to let PoPo work out all of the many bugs its bound to contain.
My $0.02...

Polaris Slingshot 2

Talk about a pretty trike... Maybe someday it will reach production.

Re: Polaris Slingshot 2

Now there's a smokin' trike, a Polaris? Strongly suspect way, way far outside my budget if it ever gets into production.

Re: Slingshot

Got the same Email, Looks interesting, But I don't think you'll see one on the road for a while, Some of the major option's won't be available till October..
But I would love to see one in person, ....I just bought a Victory a few days ago, So maybe I'll have to add another Polaris to my garage.

Re: Slingshot

Yep, it looks interesting. I'm glade to see more trikes coming out.

Re: Slingshot

Really looks like a lot of fun. Has a 2.4 liter DOC motor and a 9.8 fuel tank. Be a challenge to put a trailer hitch on it. Has one listed at 19,999.00 and another at 23,999.00.

Re: Slingshot

I hope tooo many Trike's on the road doesn't wakeup the safety Police..:cxtv:

Re: Polaris Slingshot

I also like what I see. ThumbUp

Looks like a cross between a reverse trike and a hotrod and as a bonus, very easy to work on! Now as for the comfort level, that remains to be seen,,,.

Re: Slingshot

And as I mentioned in another thread, it looks very easy to work on which to me is a big bonus! My concern is the comfort level. Those seat look pretty hard. I'll definitely go and take a look at one and hopefully at least sit in it once their at the dealers. Taking one for a test drive would be perfect!

Re: Slingshot

Yea! My favorite part ,seatbelts with shoulder harness and a foot clutch, steering wheel, side by side seating ,5 speed stick shift ,when does it become a motorcycle?

Re: Slingshot

It's a three-wheeled car designed to get around regulations and costs as much as a car. Our Honda Accord has a lot more comfort and no need to wear a helmet.

Re: Slingshot

As much as I like it, selling my present trike to buy the Slingshot really doesn't make any sense at this point in time. If I did sell my trike, (which still might happen this year) there won't be any replacement for it! :(

My biggest draw to the Slingshot (outside of car like shifting and having your better half next to you instead of behind) is the ability to work on it quite easily as compared to my Wing. But I already have a nice Honda DelSol that gives me my "little sports car fix" by simply removing the 'targa top' along with all windows down for 'open air' feeling. Why have two vehicles where my DelSol can be used all year with heat and AC,,,.

Just reality setting in, lol. ;)
