Short female needs suggestions

Seat and handlebars .

Sometimes the seat can bring you closer to the handlebars and foot controls . and if that is no help- handlebars that reduce reach and brings them closer to you to make it more comfortable to drive/steer

Yep seat and handlebars are the answer. You might want to bite the bullet from the start and get the seat custom fitted for you. The easiest way would be to go to a big bike event and talk to the appropriate vendors. A lot of times they can do the work you are looking to have done there. Go early in the event and in the day so they have time to do it. Good Luck

She can cut down and re-shape your foam in your seat for a custom fit. She just did one for a "short" Facebook female friend and it turned out awesome. Boots can be double soled by a good shoe shop to give you more reach. Extensions on the shift pedals bring them out and make it easier to reach. Brake pedal pad can get a block under it to raise it up.

I'm 5 foot tall (or more exactly short) with a 2011 Tri Glide. I have trouble comfortably reaching the controls. What would you all suggest?

Agreed - Handlebars and seat are most likely the solution. If the HD seat is comfortable, Harley makes a "Reduced Reach" saddle that brings you closer to the bars and you can then sell the one on the bike to help off-set the new one. It will also make the reach to the brake and shift pedals shorter. My suggestion would be to try the seat first. If it's still not close enough for you, then the next step would be taller bars that you can swing closer to you. The handlebar change is an expensive one....but by bringing yourself a bit closer with the seat, you MAY not have to change out all the cables if any. Just my opinion

I have a Harley reach seat on mine. It moves me forward and down. I had it installed when I bought the Ultra Classic as a 2 wheeler. Your local HD dealer should let you try one.

My mother was short also and she tied soup cans to her shoes to reach the pedals in her car and van (until they came out with electronic adjustable seats)....:). All kidding aside, the handle bars and seat would be the cheapest and best options in my opinion.

Agree with the Khrome Werks 2+2 Narrow Sweepers. My wife is about 5' 6" and they really helped. Also, her hands are small and she had problems with low speed maneuvers due to hand strength and controlling the friction point. The Rekluse clutch took care of that problem. As far as the front brakes. She still has a bit of a problem but the 2015s rear pedal is linked to the front brakes so the reduces the issue. We still cant find suitable reduced reach levers.

JC65775 I'd also like to add that we installed the stock grips from a Limited Low. The diameter is a bit less and will also help with smaller hands and shorter fingers.

Thanks Everyone!

I ordered the Khrome Werks 2x2 Narrow Sweeper bars. I tried a HD Reduced Reach seat... but didn't really like it. Will see how the bars do, then may (probably will) have to try for a different seat.

PS Hubby has been trying to get me to grow up - instead of out - for years. May have to try that too if bars don't make a lot of difference. :D
