My 13" have been on 17,000 miles & not bottomed. Set right by the builder, no complaints. George builds a great shock. I asked about the 14 & was told there would be very little diff. if any.
George doesn't know....he's never ridden them. He builds them, but we did all the testing. The difference is substantial.

Maybe so,Maybe not.
More Travel allows significant changes to dampening, Let's just look at the off road scenario, jumping and bumps are constant, you want to keep your tires in contact with the road as much as possible, this is accomplish in several ways, valving, oil viscosity, spring rates and yes, TRAVEL. Overal the ride is smoothed and you achieve better traction as well, rougher the course, softer the suspension.
If you add travel, you are adding time and distance for dampening.
So Kevin you would recommend going with the 14" shocks over the 13" for the best control and ride?
My options are :
Change out to the 13" HD air shocks with comfort lift to the 13" shocks you have on sale and then a progressive monotube front fork kit.
or
14" shocks and comfort lift kit package you have and change out the fork oil with new oil.
Which would be the best bang for the Dollars spent?
2010 HD Tri Glide, Cams, Tuner, V&H Pipes and lots of Chrome.
If the 13" comfort lift kit would fit a FreeWheeler I could resell those brackets.

Who is George?
Is he part of this forum?
Kevin,
Thanks so much for the information. 14" Shocks are on order! I just talked to Dawn. She has been very patient and helpful. She did a great Job!
Thanks again
Tammy
Being the 13’s I purchased last year are still harsh on the bumps , as they were set up for the 2 up ride, and I primarily ride 1 up,
So far I loosened up the spring adjustment 2 rounds. Gona try 2 more just to see if I can get them right. It rides like a dream with 2 up now, but 1 up is the major ride. And the hops are killing my back.
