Has anyone changed out the air suspension system and installed after market shocks for a more comfortable ride ? My 2015 FLRT hits pretty hard when wife is with me and shes got serious back issues ? Would appreciate any advice or feedback. Thanks in advance.

HI if you look around on the forum there are a lot of people changing out the shocks. Go to the DK Customs ad link at the bottom and Kevin has posted a lot of information on the subject. His suggestions and what he sells I bet will take care of your issue. Not cheap but worth it.

There are a few things that can be done to improve the ride (which has been a pet project of mine for the last 9 years):

1. Rear Tire Pressure should be done around 22 PSI, I set mine at 21 psi cold. HD manual says 26 psi, but a lot of dealerships mistakenly set them at 36 psi.

2. Use a Convertible Comfort Lift™ which you can see details on HERE.

3. Get a better quality shock. You can see a comparison report on rear shocks for HD Trikes HERE

Here is a video that you may find useful-
