Attempting install of aftermarket engine guard, mostly went okay until about to attach lower bolts. I found that holes have a plug in them and crumbled up screwing them out. Has anyone had this problem and what did you do.

Dig them out with a dental pic, run a tap thru the holes to clean the threads

The hole goes all the way thru all you need to do is punch them out the other side. That’s the only way it was intended to get them out. By the way I never tried to pick them out, would have taken a year to get them out. Thanks for the suggestion otherwise I never would have looked at the holes closely. That dental pick didn’t sound right.

Good thing that is a thru hole and not a blind hole

If it were a blind hole the pick would have worked;)
