Don’t want a bug flying up your nose while going down the road? Then you need the Rushmore Bug Plug! The Rushmore Bug Plug has a screen in it to keep bugs out while leaving the vent open! The screen does not affect the performance of the front vent. It is durable, easy to remove from the fairing, and easy to wash the bugs out of. It is also reusable, UV stable and flexible and has been tested in the field.

Available colors are clear and black.

For use in 2014 HD Rushmore Fairings to include – Ultras, Street Glides, and Tri Glides

Each plug is custom made in the USA and is ready to ship in 2 weeks.

Rushmore Plug
Do you not like the airflow through the Rushmore front vent? Is it raining out and do you want to stop water from coming through the front vent onto the windshield bags or up your nose? Do you want to try and keep water from pooling and affecting the performance of your electronics? If you answered yes to any of these questions than you need the Rushmore Plug.

That's a great idea, I know when I have the windshield vent on my GL1800 open I've had bugs come in and smack me right in the kisser.

What took you so long? :D

That's the first thing I complained about last Sept when I picked up my TriGlide.

I said then "I hope someone comes up with a screen for that vent".

Harley will probably come out with a chrome filter now.

If it was up to me, I'd eliminate that vent immediately. Ruins the look of the bike.

Surprisingly we have been working on it since we first saw the new design. It has taken us a while to get it perfected and tested. We like to take the time to get things right :). Harley probably will come out with something but the reason we created ours the way we did was to allow for it to be customized (color, lights, etc.) and it is flexible making it easy to remove and clean because we know how dirty it is going to get! Feel free to give Al a call (800-543-8154) if you have any other questions as this is his brain child or if you would like to get yourself one. Yours in riding, Meredith

It is no good to get smacked with bugs, that's for sure, especially at 70 mph (those will leave a mark).

I will probably buy one. I do have a question though. In the pictures the clear one looks like a screen covers the entire opening, but the black one looks like it has a small slit in the middle with no screen.
?????

Is it just a friction fit?
