Security software, what do you use

I am going to need a new interent security disc in the next couple of months. I have been using Kaspersky internet security, the premium protection one for my pc protection for many years. Just received a email from Best Buy they will not support it anymore and they recommended a couple of others they sell. So I will be looking for something, just curious what all of you use. Not sure why Best Buy why they don't carry it anymore, I remember once reading about Kaspersky but I didn't read the article, guess I should have, loved the support from Best Buy with the one I have, won't get it anymore.

So what do you use, I have a windows based pc

I know next to nothing about this, but I've had good luck with Malwarebytes (.com). They have a free version and a pay version. I have the pay version and it seems to do the "trick". Best wishes...

I've used them all - Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky and several others I can't even recall. Been using Bitdefender now for several years and I can tell you that it is the best I've ever used by far.

I used Kaspersky for several years and liked it fine but I determined that it was really slowing down my computer but Bitdefender does not do that. Good luck with whatever you choose.

We had Kaspersky from Best Buy for several years - no problems. Then the pointer would move by itself across the screen. Called the Geek Squad out - they ran a free Malware program. It stopped that mess - he said that K had done a good job and that there was very little and no major malware problems which is why he ran the freeby malware program and not something more sophisticated.

But he recommended Webroot - at the time it was the latest and greatest according this guy. Have had it for a couple of years now and no problems that I am aware of.

That being said, I'm dumping Microsoft and Windows next year and going to an Apple product. I can't stand the way Microsoft is always messing with the computer - either Windows updates or security updates - something all the time.

I use bitdefender.com as well, and I'm well pleased.
