Don't forget you also use salt in winter to preserve the clams and shrimp for fishing :Coffee:

Almost forgot. I also use salt in the winter to make HD mechanics lives a living hell when they have to work on my trike and realize that HD was too cheap to use high grade stainless steel.

Not true about the Army coffee.
We use salt in the country to treat our pork when smoking them.
It's called expensive.
