SAE question

A general question here, my 2022 Triglide has a three hole, two prong SAE connector hanging off the left side of the bike, I believe it was factory installed as it is not connected to the battery posts such as one would do with a Battery Tender SAE plug setup.

Anyone knows where this is wired to and can it be used to tender the battery or does it have some other purpose rather than maintaining the battery.

What is the third hole for in the plug? (Heated gear?)

That is your battery tender/ maintainer plug in and it is wired straight into the wiring harness

From what I understand, Harley used to offer a “global” charger (now obsolete) that was rated at 5 amps and it had the 3 pin connector.
