I have a 2021 Tri Glide. I am thinking about putting an S&S 475 cam in with Khrome Werks head pipe. I want to get rid of the cat. but keep the stock mufflers. I don't like a lot of noise any more. Of course a high flow air filter. I will have a dyno tune done also.

Any thoughts would be helpful.

Thanks

I had the S&S 465 cam installed in my 17 and I am glad I did. Makes a ton of torque down low, at 2300 rpm it is making 102 ft lbs of torque. Along with a Fullsac Sportpipe head pipe TTS tuner with full dyno tune. Any reason you decided to go with the 475?

Here is my dyno sheet.

Thanks for your input. The 475 is what my dyno guy recommended.

Look at where the torque starts to come in, if not until 2500 plus you may want to rethink. Have him look at the 465 first and see what he thinks. My dyno guy had never installed a 465 either, then after doing mine he said he would recommend it for trikes. But on the other hand, you must have faith in the guy tuning it. Good luck with your choice. The Fullsac Sportpipe head pipe claimed to make better low-end torque. So maybe it was the combo of the two, who knows.

Good info. I will talk with him about the 465 and low end torque. Thanks again for your input.

2018 triglide with 475 cam
The 475 makes about 6 more hp and torque than the 465,but the 465 has a more flat torque curve and comes in a little sooner, I was going to go with the 475 but ended up with the 465 and glad I did. Since the wife and are aren't at are 19 year old weight anymore and we do pull a trailer.
