Running Board Air Vents

Down here in Florida it sure gets hot. Hannigan Conversion w/Running Boards could use air vents to cool the feet. Seems like heat is trapped at the feet inside the Running Boards. Has anyone out there cut out a small area & installed vents? Looks like the old round Vetter Windshield Round Snap Vents may do the trick, 3 1/4 round. :Dorag:

I have them with my Motor Trike Aqua Boards.
Trust me in this 90 degree who knows what humidity we are having, less then average believe it or not summer so far.
They aren't worth diddly squat.
Wear sneakers leave the boots at home.

I wanted to PM you and welcome you here. But you have it turned off. A lot of good folks here and information.
Im in the area, as Im sure you can see.
Off of Lake Ida.
I don't club or joy ride as they say. So I haven't met anyone here with a trike yet.
I use mine to commute.
So again welcome.

Move to the Texas Hill Country where it is 72 degrees every day and 10 percent humidity! No need for vents!

That IS an issue with me also. On my rolling thunder trip it actually MELTED the glue in my sneakers. I had to buy new ones when we got there LOL.
Trike wings will make it (the heat) worse, the only saving grace I have is that the gl1800 aqshields have a build in vent which helps some. I can actually tell when they are closed.

So even with the vents open, assuming on your trip they were, you still melted the sneakers? Are you able to raise your feet above the boards? BTW, I met one of your Members down here in South Fla, road name Rabbi.
Thanks, Ron :Dorag:

No they were closed, I forgot to open them before I left, and sometimes your foot can hit them and shut them by accident.

Rabbi, you mean Rabbit???

No, Rabbi, and he's not even Jewish like me! :Dorag:
