When I got my Goldwing converted about 1 1/2 years ago the installer added comfort controls for me, I've ridden it about 7,000 miles since. Last Friday the Missus and I went for a 35 mile lunch ride, after eating we got on the trike to head home, I made one shift and the shifter went limp, no shift, so I pulled into a parking lot to check it out, didn't take long to realize I needed to get the trike home so we called a tow service in our town and they came and hauled us home. I pulled off the chrome side cover and could see the linkage, the clip had came off the pivot pin and disconnected the linkage. I pulled the cowl and lower panel and hooked it back up and this time installed a circular snap ring. if you have comfort controls you might want to look at the linkage next time you have the side cover off,

I have a 2007 GL1800 with a 2015 Roadsmith Kit. I have been thinking about adding the comfort controls or finding highway pegs to put my legs out a little. Do you think the comfort controls give you much change of leg position from the stock position.I would appreciate your opinion.

Comfort controls

I know this thread is a little old....but I would love to hear more reports from anyone operating a Wing with these controls.

I'm not sure floor boards and a heel toe shifter would work, but these comfort controls might be the answer.

(36" inseam and size 14 skis!)

I just don't want to make a $700 mistake!😫
