I see harley has a back rest organizer to be able to put stuff in it, glasses, cell phone, etc etc, also see Bone Mountain cycle gear has one also which are about the same price.

Does anyone have either one and make any comments on them, my other 2 bikes have a windshield bags which I really like, but since I have a 2016 triglide the lower don't have storage anymore plus the windshield bag they have for the rushmore don't hold anything according to the dealer plus it covers up the vent from what I have been told.

So I will be checking back for replies to see if anyone has either one, yes I know I have a tourpack and a trunk, always looking for more storage for the small stuff.

I have the Harley backrest organizer. The wife likes it. Her iPhone 6 plus fits in it. It is not totally waterproof. Light rain is ok, in heavy rain the pouches will get wet inside.

Our 2011 TG had the passenger armrests for my wife and she did like them but when we got the 2016 TG she said she felt the arm rests were too much money and all she wanted was a cup holder. We did get the Kuryakyn cup holder that attached between the speaker and the tour-pak and then I added the back rest organizer. Wife really likes it. She keeps some sunflower seeds in it plus tissues and other little items. She has said she doesn't miss the armrests.

we have the Bone Mountain on ours. bought it 2013. it's great and actually more room than the one from hd. that is unless one or the other has changed since we purchased ours.

I too miss the glove boxes on the ultra, been thinking of getting two small pouches, probably from a GW dealer and Velcro them where the glove boxes used to be, For small items. eBay has some, Saddleman makes some..

Bone Mountain Triple Threat

Bone Mountain has several different ones to choose from. I have the Triple Threat which has a large interior pocket, a Velcro secured pocket big enough for cell phones, a small zippered pocket, and two mesh pockets one of which is big enough for a water bottle. I believe it's made out of marine grade vinyl and is well made (in the USA). I haven't had it out in the rain yet so I can't speak to how waterproof it is. I really like it.

Thanks for the replies so far, I'm leaning towards the HD one because it looks to fit the rider backrest really tight, now for the people that have the bone mountain one, does it fit pretty tight on the backrest, I see it just zips on not sure I like that, that would be something somebody could steal real easy and be gone, now with the HD one I guess the same thing also, just pull the cords out of the slot and loosen and take it, basically nothing is fool proof now a days, I know between the 2 it does look like the bone mountain holds more and depends on what bone mountain model you get. I guess I will have to decide sometime and still looking at other options which there is not much out there. I do like that bone mountain is made in the USA and I'm pretty sure the HD is not, just like harley's made in USA but quite a few parts are from foreign places, just the way the world is now.

Hopefully people will see this and chime in with more replies and thanks for the people that have already replied

I did look at the bone mountain they had at the dealer, they had 2 of them, the one with pockets and the fish net thing for a water bottle, really wasn't impressed that much. The other one was I guess a older style, had a big flap and would hold everything that I would want, it reminded me more of a windshield bag like I have on my other bikes, the parts guy said they fit tight on the backrest, also looked at the harley one and I like it also, I know the bone mountain one with the big flap is priced at $69 which is a good buy compared to the harley one or any of the other bone mountain they have on their web site, I guess this one is not made anymore since they don't show it on their website, so I guess I will have to decide at some time.

Backrest pouch

I put the H-D pouch on my backrest. The wife needs a place for her Pepsi. The mesh bag holds her drink in thin insulated cooler just fine. Once pouch is in place and laced up it looks like it grew there. Lace it up, let it stretch and tighten it up. I pushed the extra lacing down the backrest hole in the seat. I have a small pocket camera in a case that fits in one of the pouches just fine too. Works for us.

Oh man, what a price for a little bag with a logo on it :xzqxz:
I have a camera bag from Lowepro in which my Canon G1X fits, fixed it with a short belt on the backrest.

I pick up the bone mountain one at the dealer today with just one big pocket, ended up taking it back, it fit good but once I put stuff in it bulged out a little to much for me and with the knob on the back side of it to raise and lower the backrest it just IMHO made it bulge more.

Guess I will have to give it up for now, I believe the HD rider backrest organizer would be the same except it isn't one big pocket and I'm sure rain will go thru the zipper like Wheeler said, to bad HD doesn't put a flap over the zipper to help keep the rain out, the bag is more than likely made in some foreign country.

To bad HD can't build a windshield pouch for the rushmore models that would work good or should say what country builds them for HD, my dealer even said stay away from the windshield pouch.
