We have an 09' First year production these were assembled by Lehman in their facility and shipped back to Harley I believe geared differently than newer models 32 tooth on front 70 tooth in rear. We love our trike I changed bars to sit up straighter, installed tuner added Love Jug Mighty Mite fans to reduce heat plus a lot more. There is a lot you can do to reduce heat, 09 did not have Cat. in the exhaust so you don't need to blame heat on it. Congrats I think they are as good as any.
