Hi,

I am new to the forum and looking at trikes. HD vs GW, of course.

Coming from 2-wheel riding, I want to get the best safety I can.

I know the GW has ABS, and the new triglides have the reflex system with traction control and ABS.

is there any forum here that compares/contrasts these two bikes in terms of safety and wheel control?

what year did the triglide offer this technology?

Go to https://www.triketalk.com/forum/forum.php - they have everything related to trikes - Harley - GW - Victory - Yamaha - kits - conversions - EVERYTHING

Don't forget Harley is a FACTORY model and GW is a kit. Check out warranty services and service while you are on the road.

I personally would not even consider anything but a factory model. If you don't want solid rear axle - forget Harley unless you get a conversion.

Good luck

I just came from 2 wheels as well. I considered conversion trikes. Of those prob Honda tops the list and has the best ride. However, as mentioned already, Harley is the only factory trike. I have had mine for one month and put on 1,600 miles. We love it. Also appealing to me was a narrower rear wheelbase compared to most conversions. The 2020 with the 114 has plenty of power. Harley Tri Glide is also a good bit cheaper than the conversions I looked at. I hope this helps you.

Danny..another factory 3-wheeler to consider is the Spyder. The 2020 RT Limited is really nice and comfortable... check it out!

p.s.. if you test drive one be aware that they have a very quick response on the throttle. Its fun!

Thanks for all of the replies. I will probably go for a factory trike.

HD or Can am. They are so different.

I want to study more on the dynamics of two rear vs two front tires. I do like the reflex ABS system on the HD, but I am not sure what year it was introduced. I cannot afford a new HD. I wish I could.

Reflex brake systems were introduced on the 2019 model trikes.
