As a fella new to trikes, I seem to have a shoebox full of questions. I have a '71 VW motor (1600cc) and no body work. Any suggestions on rear tire pressure will be greatly appreciated. I wish there were some Vw trike folks living out my way. A question and answer ride would be nice.
Thanks for your time.

I have over-sized tires on the back so the VW recommended pressure goes out the window. Recommended 35 psi stamped on the tires themselves made it ride too hard. I experimented with different pressures until I found one that gave a smooth ride and didn't cause over or under inflation wear on the tires, 24-26 psi works good on mine.ThumbUp

I'm not running VW tires either, mine has 195/70R-14's on Keystone wheels. 27-28 pounds works pretty well with my set up. Rides good, handles well.

Hope this helps...

PEACE! :Dorag:

Thanks folks. I'm gonna try the mid to upper 20's. That 32 let setting rides like a buckboard. It's kinda rough on a worn out body.
Thanks for your time.
