rear bumper motortike honda conversion

rear bumper motortrike honda conversion

Good morning,
We have been trying to get a rear bumper for our trike. we ordered a 45-8946 from add-on accessories and it is the wrong one. We can not send it back.
SO we went to Ocala to a motortrike dealer and he says the number is 22315. BUT when I sent pix to motortrike.com they gave me the number mtby-00200. We r so confused. :xzqxz:
SO... Where do you find the serial number for your conversion? SO we can at least assure ourselves we have a fastback conversion(not sure 2+2) or not.

Do you know when your bike was actually converted? Also, if you're able, upload a picture of the back of your trike, preferably from an angle. I'm sure there are a few of us on here who could help you ID your conversion!

Call Motor Trike. They can tell you where the serial # is located. It will be a sticker or metal tag that they put on it when it was built. My Champion WAS on the right swing arm but it gone!

You are going to hate me for telling you this.... The serial number is stamped into the differential housing right above the input shaft. Yup, it's a real bear to get to and read. The only one I ever hunted down I put the trike up on three ramps so I could get underneath with a flashlight and mirror. You might want to go armed with a rag soaked in degreaser/cleaner. It gets pretty nasty dirty up there.

Good luck with your search. :xszpv: :xszpv:
