How can I find out what vehicle the axle shaft used On trike is from?

Sorry about lack of info. I am helping a friend figure this out and I am a bit slow to figuring out how to use this site on a cell phone that I am not great at using. I know it’s a champion conversion and pretty sure it’s a Honda and he acquired it 2011 but thinks it might be pre 2006. The axle plate where tire attaches has scallop on two sides. The axle housing is offset so axles have different length. This one is close to 25.5” long measured from tire side of plate to end of axle. Would post picture but cannot figure out how

Welcome Bob like Rhino said be nice to know what conversion, year etc.

1994 Honda 1500 goldwing

bought champion kit 2011

was led to believe axle was toyota

the messed up shaft is on left (when sitting on trike)

diff marked ACO 201B. The O may have a slash and the 1 may be a 7

Mark on axle housing 2018

the scallop on plate seems to be a defining thing

have been trying to find axle going with the scallop but have only seen one

But it had 4 scallops instead of 2

The Toyota was 6.75 if I remember right.Like early 80s car.Should be able to google some pics. Also should be a tag with one of the bolts in the cover or holding the chunk in.

I cannot interpret this

what is 6.7

what bolt and cover

what is a chunk

Hi Walker!

6.75" is the ring gear size. Often a good way to ID a rearend.

There are two common styles of rearends: Removable carrier (or 'chunk') and integrated carrier (which has a cover on the back that one removes to look inside)

There often is tag held on by one of the chunk or cover fasteners. This tag can give valuable information.

The axle pictures ere great!!

If you can post more pictures of the rearend, and the trike back end we may be able to help you much more.

What is the problem with the left axle?
