I bought a 2016 Harley Tri Glide last December. Nice ride but I wish it had a taller 6th gear since it is turning 3000 rpm at 70 mph. I heard the older trikes had a larger front sprocket and a smaller rear one but people wanted more acceleration so it was changed.

Vin......Welcome to Trike-Talk......:clapping:....The sprocket changed with the 2010's ....

Welcome aboard Vin. The 09s and 10s had a 32 tooth front sprocket. People dropped it to 30 for the low end performance. Harley did the same mod in 2011. I'm not aware what the current rear sprocket tooth count is.

Welcome to the forum from Western Pennsylvania. I just had our 09 changed to a 30 from the 32 (25 K) I have it in a box if interested. PosseRider switched his 32 tooth to a 31 tooth Andrews he seems very pleased with results. :good: travel safe Fred

Thanks for the reply. I bought the extended warranty on the trike. Don't know if anyone makes a different 5th and 6th gear that is taller. This way I still have a good 1st gear off the line and can cruise at highway speeds at a lower RPM.
