Rake Forward of Backward

Hey fellow trikers. When you install a rake kit on a trike, does the front wheel move furthur forward or backward. Also why do most rake kits incorporate spacers to increase the length of the forks.

Hi Judson, and welcome to the forum

The rake moves the front wheel forward, and the forks are lengthened a bit to keep the trike level as that forward position would otherwise lower the front a bit. There is a lot of different discussion about rakes in the following section of the forum:

Think of the movie Easy Rider the choppers. The front was 1/2 mile out in front of the bike. Made it easy to steer but the draw back is wider turns and not as easy to do U turns, If you don't ever get lost no problem,
