Rake Forward of Backward

Hi Judson, and welcome to the forum :)

The rake moves the front wheel forward, and the forks are lengthened a bit to keep the trike level as that forward position would otherwise lower the front a bit. There is a lot of different discussion about rakes in the following section of the forum:

You'll get answers from members here, but there is a lot you can read in the meantime :). What you read may even raise some more questions! Who knows.

Think of the movie Easy Rider the choppers. The front was 1/2 mile out in front of the bike. Made it easy to steer but the draw back is wider turns and not as easy to do U turns, If you don't ever get lost no problem,

Had one of those, John. Try turning one around on a dead end country road. That's an experience you don't want to have twice!

Welcome Judson Barber. As you see just ask a question I'm sure someone will know the answer or at least where to find it. Ted
