Question About Health & Wellness

Now you know I have to ask this. Can we sue if we get bad medical advice? Posters that frequent this forum have a lot in common. Being able to communicate with others in similar situations would provide solace and comfort I would think.

There are thousands of forums of all kinds where people share their ideas and experiences on health and wellness issues and thank goodness these exist as they are a help to many. I really have no worries about getting sued but if we do add this forum, we will still post a disclaimer to coa. Thanks for the PMs and phone calls...lots more interest in this than I ever anticipated.

Man, you miss a lot when you're out for a day!!

First off, thanks to Catfish (post 21) for his response, in which I totally agree. It seems we can discuss most any other issues without rancor, I don't see our members responding any differently here.

Sure, you're gonna have to have a disclaimer, probably in bold at the top of the page, but I bet most here have enough common sense to research a remedy before trying it. There is so much information available for various ailments that is not recognized by modern medical practitioners. I've found granny's remedies worked well for some things.... but damn that turpentine stuff... :AGGHH:

I'd say keep it to members only, that way we don't invite "outside" trouble makers.

Gotta run & finish packing, we're leaving in the AM for a 10 day three state run. Wish I had retired years ago!!!:D

I think we are veering off topic a bit... The lawsuit issue is a non issue as far as I am concerned. Lets discuss the feasibility and value of a Health and Wellness Forum.

I say throw it out there. If it gets a lot of action there ya go.lf it starts heading in the wrong direction try 2 correct it. You won't no until you try. Nothin says we have to participate. We don't have 2 go there if we don't like what we c. You'll probably get a feel 4 what people want once starts. Then make the necessary changes.

I think it would be an amazing idea to have a forum that we could all share health help in!

Members could not only give/get help, but also include great web links for important information regarding health issues.

In October of 2012 I came down with a very very rare disease called Pityriasis Rubra Pilaris. It disabled me for close to two years and still almost 4 years later I have some of its issues with my feet, hands, and legs.
Most sufferers report complete remission between 2 to 5 years with others being as long as 10+ years.

I am praying that I am one of the people to get complete remission earlier.

This example is so rare that I wouldn't imagine there will be many if anyone on TrikeTalk having this awful disease. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

The nice thing about sites like this, is that there are tons of different subjects discussed in many different forums.

If you have no interest in one, stay the hell out of it. Move along to one you like.:)

Sorry to hear I offended you, the man asked for good or bad input. I didn't go with the flo, so I'm the bad guy!
